Success Happens When Opportunity Meets Preparedness

As President and CEO of Coaxum Enterprises, Inc. and a McDonald’s franchise, I have been one of the fortunate people who have both contributed to and benefitted from the renaissance of New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. Last may, when the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences new Orleans Team was chosen to redevelop 2 Canal Street, I was elated – not just because I am a member of the development team but because it means more growth is ahead for New Orleans. This project is about opportunity and success for all aspects of the community. And we’re prepared to make it happen. Here’s what you need to know:

  • This project will create over 1,600 jobs during construction
  • It will mean 450 permanent, full-time jobs post-construction
  • The Four Seasons New Orleans Development Team is committed to 35% DBE participation
  • Our transformative DBE program includes training, financing, mentoring, and a third-party DBE monitor. This is a program that will have a lasting impact for our community
  • The project will mean $405 million in tax revenues, in 2015 dollars, over the life of the lease – badly needed revenue that will go to police, firemen and education
